Athletes and Parents,
Thanks to the uncooperative weather, all Tuesday, May 3, events will take place on Wednesday, May 4. The events previously scheduled for Wednesday will now take place on Thursday, May 5.
However, right now the weather forecast for Thursday, May 5, does not look good. If the meet cannot take place on Thursday, those events will be rescheduled for Friday, May 6.
For PC parents who signed up to help with meet events, athletes check in tent, hospitality tent, and the concession stand, if you can help on one of these alternate dates, your assistance is still very much needed and appreciated. If you cannot, we understand. Please add or delete your name from the sign up sheet according to the new schedule.
Needed: extra TOWELS! If you have any old towels that you do not need returned to you, please send them in with your athletes. We will need a big stack of towels to dry off field equipment this week.

The PC Track & Field Team will host the SWAC Championship meet on May 3 & 4. Nine schools will compete. The schedule of events is posted here. Competition begins at 4:30pm each day. This is the first of our three big meets this season - Conference, Regionals, and State. It’s important to make sure that the kids understand they are competing NOT just for themselves or for individual marks/times, but for team points.
ATHELTES: There will be a meeting in Coach Scruggs' room (3628) during B half of SMART lunch on Monday, May 2 for all TF Team members NOT competing in this meet. All team members not competing are expected to be present at the meet to assist with logistics and cheer on fellow teammates.
Athletes must wear their blue Catamount Track t-shirts on the field when not competing and for warm-ups. This includes athletes who are working at the meet. Events will start at 4:30pm each day, please arrive by 4:00pm.
PARENTS, we cannot host this meet without a lot of help from you. Key roles still need to be filled and shifts are available. Please sign up here. We know you want to watch your athlete; consider filling a spot when your athlete is not competing. For those who sign up for a first shift, please arrive by 4:00pm. First shift Hospitality Tent volunteers please arrive at 3:00pm each day.
The weather is looking bad for the week at this point. If there are any changes in the meet schedule I will let you know as soon as possible.

Track & Field Athletes:
Saturday's link drive at Harris Teeter successfully linked about 200 new VIC cards to our team account. Thank you to the 20 Track & Field Team members (and parents!) who worked the link drive.
Every T&F team member who did not work the link drive needs to print theattached sign up sheet and collect at least 10 VIC numbers of people who agree to be linked to our account #3569. Start with your family, friends, and neighbors. Wear a shirt that identifies you as a PCHS T&F athlete and go door-to-door in your neighborhood.
When you have filled this sheet, give it to Coach Scruggs. If you can get more than 10 links, please do. Just print another sheet.
