Millbrook’s Cheerleading Program took home plenty of hardware on Saturday afternoon by winning their division at both the Junior Varsity and Varsity levels of the 2017 Wake County Public School System County Championship.

In the Varsity competition, the Wildcats were named Grand Champions over Apex, Broughton, and Leesville Road. Millbrook’s Elite Cheerleading Team comprised of special needs students were also named champions of the competition that was held at Leesville Road High School.

“This is such a huge accomplishment for our program” said Head Coach Allie Leaptrot to HighSchoolOT.com, “I’m very proud of our girls and the way that they executed throughout practices, and today at the competition.

The victory was Millbrook’s first of the 2016-17 campaign. At the Junior Varsity level, this year’s group of seniors won two NCHSAA competitions, and last season the Wildcats picked up a first place finish in the NCCCA cheerleading competition.
