2020 Enloe Eagles

Enloe enters break with 5-0 win

Snigdha Sompalli added two more goals as Enloe shut out an improved Rolesville team 5-0 on March 12.

Emily Xu, Glenna Ruslander and Grace Overton also netted goals as the Eagles improved to 4-1 on the season.

Eagles run away from Knights

Snigdha Sompalli scored three more goals Monday, leading Enloe to a 9-0 win over Knightdale.

Six others scored goals as Enloe improved to 3-1 in the non-conference portion of its schedule. 

The Eagles return to action Thursday night with a home game against Rolesville. 

Eagles suffer first loss of 2020

For the first time in 2020, Enloe surrendered a goal, falling at Middle Creek 2-0 on a cold, blustery Friday night in Southern Wake County.

Goalkeeper Lauren Ferlito was valiant in defeat, making 8 saves of the 10 shots on goal she faced.

The Mustangs stayed unbeaten, including a win over Enloe Cap-7 rival Broughton.

Enloe, now 2-1, returns to action Monday night with a 6 pm start at Knightdale. 

Enloe shuts door on Rolesville, improves to 2-0

Snigdha Sompalli scored three more goals, upping her tally to 7 after just two games, as Enloe stayed unbeaten with a 2-0 win at Rolesville on Wednesday night.

Ansley Brown also netted a score as the Eagles jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead and never looked back.

Next up for Enloe: A trip to Middle Creek on Friday night. Game time is 6:15 pm.

Enloe opens with win over Knightdale

Senior co-captain Snigdha Sompalli scored four goals, and Kyra Koons and Kyra Grimes each scored two as Enloe began its 2020 season with a convincing 9-0 win over Knightdale on Monday night.

Glenna Ruslander also netted a goal as the Eagles raced out to a 6-0 halftime lead and never looked back.

The Eagles return to play on Wednesday, March 4, when they visit Rolesville. Game time is 6 pm.

2020 Schedule Released

The 2020 Enloe women's varsity soccer schedule was released on January 2 and it features 21 contests, including 10 home games, a home-and-home with 2016 NCHSAA 4A State Runner-Up Middle Creek, and a return visit to The Brittany Tournament in Wilson.

In his first season, Coach Mike Atkinson will be looking to improve upon Enloe's 6-12-1 finish in 2019.
