**ALL those that are running Winter Track are expected to run Spring Track!  This is not conditioning for other sports in the Spring.

**Accommodations will be made if some individuals want to participate in two sports. I.e., Track and Wresting   Both coaches must agree.

**If you are planning on running 800m and up, You Must see Coach Burrows   He will give me the list for those athletes.

  • Indoor Track is actually Winter Track as 95% of the meets are outdoors. (Polar Bear) We run Indoor Distances.  All Field Events except the Discus
  • There is NO Conference Schedule, we must find Polar Bear meets where we can
  • There is a State Championship in Feb at JDL in Winston Salem.  We are scheduled to run in a Wake Co Meet there on Dec 3.  Entrees are limited to 3 per event.
  • We always practice outside but will not practice if temperature is below 42 degrees, rain, snow or any inclement weather   Always watch Remind and Twitter @HHSTrackWF
  • Dress to stay warm   long tights, sweat pants, gloves, hats whatever you need to stay warm.
  • Transportation to meets and from meets will be provided.   Parents may pick up from meets once approved.  More information is forthcoming about travel
  • Track is a very Self-Discipline Sport!  You must discipline yourself to do the work!  Remember It’s up to you to be the best YOU can be! Excuses are tools used by Losers!  Can’t Means, not willing to Try!  Attitude Determines Altitude
  • Remember working out is not easy!   You must learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable.  The results will make you happy you did!

See you Monday!   2:45!
